Programs & Initiatives
Seedco Financial offers numerous types of programs and initiatives to fit the varied requirements of small businesses and not-for-profit organizations. Some of these programs are designed for specific regions while others are available to customers across our geographic footprint. Each of these diverse programs has a distinct purpose in fulfilling the needs of our customers and, in turn, helping to support their communities.
- ArtBusiness is designed to serve the unique challenges facing small and medium-sized arts organizations. The program offers direct financing and business consulting services to for-profit and not-for-profit arts groups in New York City. It has proven so successful that we are expanding it to New Orleans and anticipate its launch in other cities as well.
- Seedco Financial offers small businesses and not-for-profit groups a rich array of services and activities beyond small business lending. Our Technical Assistance Support Services include everything from businesses breakfasts to workshops to one-on-one coaching for entrepreneurs. This program encompasses our Business Solution Centers and our Southeast Fisheries Assistance Center.
- The Growth Opportunity Loans & Services (GOLS) Program is a unique financing and business assistance program developed by Seedco Financial Services and funded primarily through The Goldman Sachs Urban Investment Group (UIG) in support of its 10,000 Small Businesses program.
- Our Gulf Coast Fisheries Initiative was developed in response to the disasters in the Gulf Coast region in recent years. As part of this initiative, we established the Southeast Louisiana Fisheries Assistance Center in Belle Chasse, the first comprehensive one-stop facility for technical, business, and financial assistance for fisheries in the United States. The center also provides help with marketing development, translation services, and BP claims assistance following the April 2010 oil spill.
- Seedco Financial’s Human Services Loan Fund offers loans, from $25,000 to $500,000, tailored to meet the needs of New York City-based not-for-profit organizations that provide services to persons with developmental disabilities.
- Our Microlending program provides loans up to $25,000 for small businesses that cannot obtain mainstream financing. These businesses typically are locally owned and have few employees. Seedco Financial itself offers these small loans in some sites; in other areas, it partners with local lending partners.
