Anchor Projects |
Seedco Financial offers a variety loan products for large-scale commercial and housing developments. These 'anchor' projects generate investment, stimulate economic development, and create jobs in low-income communities and typically require over financing over $1.5 million.
An agreement with the United Methodist Pension Fund gives us enough financing so that we can shape projects and influence how they improve neglected communities. For example, we can include community covenants requiring that commercial development deals meet environmental standards that improve energy conservation or give local residents jobs in the new businesses.
Seedco Financial also offers New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) investments through its subsidiary, the Empowerment Reinvestment Fund.
Examples:- $15.6 New Markets Tax Credit investment and $1.9 million in loans for the redevelopment of downtown Memphis
- $1.65 million health care facility serving low-income and uninsured individuals in Denver, CO
- $4.5 million loan and a $16.8 million NMTC investment in Boricua College in the South Bronx, NY
